Born in Spain in 1713, JUAN DE MIRALLES moved with his family as a young boy to Cuba. This prominent businessman was also a passionate champion of independence. During the Revolutionary War, American Colonists were struggling for independence and needed military and financial support.

George Meléndez Wright filled his short life with purpose, establishing a foundation for wildlife conservation at American national parks. At a time when National Park funding is being slashed and National monuments are shrinking his groundbreaking work is even more meaningful.
